Personal Responsibility

Presently we are confronted with so called "global" crisis like e.g. the financial crises, H1N1 (not to forget the birdflu) and many people are falling into helplessness, there is no way out, they are depressed.
In my seminars more often than not I'm asked: "How and what could I change? I'm only one person."
The answer is very simple: "Anytime you can change everything. Your future is in your hands, you are the creator."
What you need to do is:
Taking responsibility for your life. With our birth we gain full responsibility for our lifes (if we are aware of or not), but we like to pass it on to others. Taking 100 % responsibility means: Consequences, walking new ways, ways I don't know where they're leading me. It means we're willing to experience new, unknown territory. And this is the moment, when fear comes into game; the fear to fail.
Personal responsibility is simply owning the state of your life.
Living a happy, prosperous life begins with viewing yourself as the major source of your life's circumstances. You are the Director, Producer, Storyline, Costume Designer and Major Actor/Actress of your life.
When you take complete responsibility for these roles in your life, you also again control to consciously continue or change how you are presently living. This is called personal empowerment, which is the realization that you control your destiny
When you take control of your life, then the outside world of friends, relatives and those who love you will come to your aid.
"The moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred." (Goethe)
Nuggets of Wisdom
The following set of guidelines is designed to assist you in proactively gaining control of your life.
- Responsibility is the willingness to view yourself as the principal source of what happens in your life.
- Taking responsibility, even when it's unreasonable, has the power to assist you in proactively finding solutions in the most difficult situations.
- Taking responsibility for a crisis is a "test" to determine how effectively we can handle life situations that are unfair and unreasonable - and learn valuable "lessons for life".
- Taking responsibility means assuming that we actually (and often unconsciously) create the crisis or happiness in our lives.
- A crisis provides an opportunity for personal growth and greater mastery of the human experience.
- Taking responsibility, particularly when it's unreasonable and unfair, is ultimately the key to gaining control of your life.
Just take some minutes and rethink your level of personal responsibility and personal empowerment your currently have in your life.
