Alternative and healthy - Travel tips
Ginger for travel sickness
Ginger can help for dizziness, vomiting and general travel sickness symptoms. Chew a thin piece of fresh ginger half an hour before departure (air or sea). It will taste a bit tart.
Energized water
Based on the findings of Tesla/Schauberger relies the Austrian scientist Grander. The water is called “Grander water” and this water is energized spring water. This specially energized water is excellent for long journeys or flights; it can also be used as a tonic and sprayed on skin or tired feet. It can help with sunburn – sprayed on – and (when drinking it) helps to digest foreign foods better. It also makes every other beverage better digestible.
Mud as first aid
Mud has antiseptic, antitoxic and healing properties and can be applied externally as well as internally.
For sunburn: 1 tea spoon mud in 1 litre of water, soak a cold compress and put onto burned area.
Mud as powder: for wounds and scratches; when sprinkled on it is a good antiseptic and assists the healing process.
Mud for stomach and digestive problems: drink mud water; it absorbs toxic gases from within the bowls. Dosage: 1 teaspoon on ¾ liter of water (fro adults), ½ teaspoon for children under age 12; drink this 2-3 times a day. It helps when the remedy is prepared the day before and rests overnight. Drink half an hour before meals (stir before drinking). Also drink lots of water or green tea or thyme tea.
Relaxing for eyes
Amaranth, the grain of the Inkas, is a blessing for eyes when it is put into a eye cushion. It works fast, cools and refreshes and relaxes. 10 Minutes for tired eyes.
The power of plants
Pure lavender essential oil (such as Primavera, Young Living etc.) helps when applied on temples, neck and pulse. It is refreshing and smells wonderful; clears the head and relaxes.
Training muscles whilst sitting
Much has changed in our fast living era, but we are still bound to the laws of nature. Everything in the universe follows the law of action. Everyone can do a bit of muscle training which helps especially during long haul flights. At the same time breathing exercises are incorporated. The blood flow will be better; lymphatic congestion can be avoided. ISMAKOGIE (developed by the Viennese Professor Inge Seidel) is one such example that helps with all of the above.
Exercise tips
Both feet are parallel on the ground. Feet are flush on the floor (with or without shoes) but without high heels. Lift each leg in turn without losing contact with the floor. This simple exercise can be done without being notice by any neighbour. It also helps to do the movement the other way around: push feet alternately against the floor. This helps to relieves veins and activates blood circulation.
Careful with Tomato juice
Tomatoes, specifically their lectins, create blood clumps. Therefore tomato juice, or Bloody Mary’s, that are often offered during flights should not be consumed during long journeys (plane, car, bus, rail).
